North Dakota does not require state registration of UAS except when used for agricultural aerial application, which must be licensed by the ND Aeronautics Commission.

Warrants for UAS use must satisfy constitutional requirements and include a detailed data collection statement covering authorized users, locations, flight duration, data types, retention, and destruction policies.

Information obtained by an unmanned aerial vehicle is not admissible in any prosecution or proceeding within the state unless obtained pursuant to a valid search warrant or recognized exception.

Requires documentation of all UAS surveillance flights—including duration, path, objectives—with flight information verified, retained for five years, and non-crime data destroyed within 90 days.
